The Appeal Chamber of the court has upheld sentences against three leaders of the former Revolutionary United Front rebel movement, who had been convicted on war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The court was set up to try those held most to blame for the atrocities committed during Sierra Leone's civil war.

The BBC's Umaru Fofana followed the proceedings in court.
