Nigeria's graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has shut down 800 scam websites and busted 18 syndicates of email fraudsters.

The EFCC says this is part of a drive to check the so called " advance fee fraud".

Cyber crime has remained a big challenge to security agencies in the country despite efforts made over the years to counter it.
