A controversial debate was aired on UK television last night.

It involved Nick Griffin, the leader of the British National Party, a far right anti -immigration party, making his first appearance on a popular political discussion programme called Question time.

The BBC has been criticised by some for inviting the far-right leader to the show describing him as racist.

However, the BNP's electoral support has risen in recent years, and earlier this year they won their first two seats in the European Parliament.

Here is a clip from the programme and a discussion held by two Africans in the UK, Juliet Reid and William Essilfie who watched the show.
