Following the amnesty in Nigeria's oil-rich Niger Delta, the country's foreign minister, Ojo Madueke, has been briefing diplomats in Abuja on his government's plan to entrench peace in the area.

International companies, especially the oil giants, have been alarmed by the militants' campaign over the past ten years; their activity has disrupted production and at times affected the global price of oil.

Focus on Africa's Veronique Edwards called Minister Madueke to see if he had managed to convince the international community.
