A BBC Network Africa investigation has found that people living in Kenya's Rift Valley are arming themselves ahead of general elections in 2012.

Since July this year, the BBC Network Africa's Wanyama wa Chebusiri has been looking into the issue.

His special report begins near Nakuru in The Rift Valley, the region worst affected by the post-election violence last year that claimed over1300 lives, where he spoke to a member of the Kikuyu community.
