It is nearly three months since the largest group of militants in south eastern Nigeria, stopped attacking oil installations and facilities.
The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) said it wanted to allow for possible peace talks following President Umaru Yar'Adua's 60-day amnesty offer to all gunmen.
