South Africa's former 'top cop' on trial

The trial against former South African national police commissioner Jackie Selebi has started.

Mr Selebi pleaded 'not guilty' to charges of corruption and defeating the ends of justice.

He was suspended by former president Thabo Mbeki last year, and officially replaced in July 2009.

Mpho Lakaje reports from Johannesburg.
