A meeting of Madagascar's four political heavy weights is expected to take place today.

The meeting will be facilitated by the regionally appointed SADC contact group.

It comes a day after the country's internationally shunned leader Andry Rajoelina said he would stick to the terms of a power-sharing deal struck in August, if donors release frozen aid worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

So will today's meeting mark the end to a crisis which has seen the country's economy collapse with increased unemployment and crime?
