Guinea's military junta has asked for the United Nations to investigate Monday's trouble in which more than a hundred and fifty opposition supporters were killed.

They were demonstrating against the possibility of the military leader - Captain Mousssa Dadis Camara - running for president, when security forces opened fire.

An announcement on state media also called for a government of national unity.
