Kenya's anti corruption chief has given in to weeks of pressure and resigned.
Aaron Ringera said he was stepping down to ensure that the Anti-Corruption commission he headed is not disbanded.
He was re-appointed for a five-year term early this month by President Kibaki - a move rejected by parliament, which said he had been ineffective during his first term.
