Egypt is the centre of attention today as the Under-20 FIFA football world cup kicks off.

The 5 African teams in the tournament include hosts Egypt, as well as Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and South Africa.

So what are the expectations in Egypt?

BBC Network Africa's Matthew Kenyon has been speaking to the Planning Director of the Local Organising Committee, Vicken Djimedjin who was heavily involved with the African Nations Cup a couple of years ago.

Matthew first asked whether everything was ready for the tournament.
