In Sierra Leone, at least 100 people remain unaccounted for after a boat capsized near the capital, Freetown.
At least 8 people, mostly children returning from their school holidays, died when the boat they were travelling on capsized after drifting into a heavy storm when its engine failed.
A police search for survivors is continuing near the suburb of Tombo where the accident occurred.
To get an update on the search, Paul Bakibinga spoke to our reporter in Freetown, Lansana Fofana.
