Southern African leaders have been busy with two of the continent's trouble spots.

The condemnation overnight of Madagascar's new government by member states of the Southern African Development Community wasn't the only strong words to come out of a two-day SADC summit in the Congolese capital Kinshasa.

Leaders also called on the international community to end sanctions against Zimbabwe and backed away from the possibility of holding an extraordinary summit on ZImbabwe, against the wishes of the country's Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.

Our correspondent in Kinshasa - Thomas Fessy - has been attending the summit. He spoke to Paul Bakibinga.
