There's been more violence overnight in Gabon's second city, Port Gentil - the stronghold of the third-placed presidential candidate, Pierre Mamboundou.

Scores of people were arrested after gangs looted shops and petrol stations, angry at the announcement yesterday of presidential election results which gave victory to Ali Bongo, the son of the late president, Omar Bongo.

Hassan Arouni spoke to Port Gentil resident Alex Maari, a French citizen working for an energy firm in the city, and asked him about the situation today.
