Police in Maiduguri, Nigeria, have paraded a suspected member of the militant islamist group Boko Haram, who they say received terrorist training in Afghanistan.

This follows the attacks across northern Nigeria last month by Boko Haram, which led to the deaths of 700 people, including the group's leader, Mohammed Yusuf.

The suspect, Abdul Rashid Aboubakar, is said to have been arrested, along with others, in the neighbouring state of Yola.

Our reporter in Maiduguri, Bilkisu Babangida, was among a group of journalists who were allowed to speak to Mr Aboubakar - she asked him how he came to join Boko Haram.
