Search for debtors steps up in Nigeria

In Nigeria, the financial authorities are continuing their attempts to get those owing money to five banks that were bailed out by the government to pay back their debts.

According to the Central Bank of Nigeria, the banks had between them loaned out nearly 18 billion dollars.

A deadline passed at midnight last night, so those still with debts now face arrest.
