South African running star Caster Semenya has arrived home to a tumultuous welcome, following her gold medal win at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin and the controversy caused by her being told to undergo a sex-test.

The 18 year old won the women's 800 metres race in spectacular fashion and the doubts raised about her gender by the athletics authorities have angered many South Africans.

Mpho Lakaje was among the crowd at the airport in Johannesburg to witness her return.
