Is it a charade, as some of his former comrades-in-arms claim, or has General Boyloaf helped bring peace closer to Nigeria's troubled Niger Delta?

In what's been the largest disarmament ceremony to date, hundreds of Delta militants, led by General Boyloaf, yesterday handed over weapons as part of the government-sponsored amnesty.

As witnessed by the BBC's Abdullahi Kaura Abubakar, the militants surrendered what appears to have been a formidable arsenal.
