The Lusaka Magistrates Court will today deliver judgement in a criminal case involving former Zambian president Frederick Chiluba and two of his associates.
Mr Chiluba is jointly charged with stealing about 500,000 US dollars of public funds and abuse of office. This is the first judgement he will be facing in a Zambian court.
In a separate civil case brought by the Zambian government, he was convicted three years ago by the High Court in London and ordered to pay back 42 million US dollars.
If convicted in Zambia, Mr Chiluba could face a lengthy jail sentence, as Musonda Chibamba reports from Lusaka...
