US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been totting up the air miles in her seven nation tour across the continent.

Today on the sixth leg of her journey she is in Liberia.

Mrs Clinton, a champion of woman's rights, has been holding talks with the continent's first democratically elected female leader President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

Mrs Clinton appears keen to back President Johnson-Sirleaf - she's under scrutiny for her alleged role in the country's years of turmoil.
