Is peace and with it maximum oil production about to return to the troubled Niger Delta?

After the release of their leader and the start of a two-month weapons amnesty by the government, thirty-two members of the Delta's main militant group - MEND - yesterday met President Yar'Adua for talks in Abuja.

The militants were led by MEND's leader in Bayelsa State, Ebikabowei Victor Ben, also known as "General Boyloaf".

Weekend Network Africa's Fred Dove asked him whether he was pleased with the way the meeting had gone.
