Reports are emerging from South Sudan of heavy fighting between two different tribes.

More than 160 people, mostly women and children, have been killed in Jonglei state.

The authorities say heavily armed tribesmen carried out the killings in a dawn raid on a rival group.

Our reporter, Peter Martell, has been monitoring the situation from the Southern Sudanese capital, Juba.
