In Kenya, members of a Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission were sworn in today, amidst controversy over their role.
Opinion has been divided over a decision by the cabinet to use the Commission to deal with the post election violence instead of a local tribunal.
The Commission is also expected to handle injustice and human rights abuses perpetrated during Kenyan post independence governments.
