Can the dispute over how the waters of the Nile are used ever be sorted out?
As populations increase in the region, so do the demands on the river.
Today water ministers from the countries of the Nile basin will meet in the Egyptian city of Alexandria, this is the first time they're coming together after Egypt refused to sign a deal in May.
The new deal is designed to supercede colonial era agreements, which upstream countries see as too favourable to Egypt.
