British and Asian companies are involved in a minerals trade that could be fuelling conflict in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The campaign group, Global Witness, is saying that the companies are buying minerals, vital in the production of mobile phones and other electronic goods, that were taken from mines in the DRC controlled by either rebels or the national army.
It's this trade that's helping to fund the fighting.
Carina Tertsakian helped carry out the research for Global Witness - and she spoke to our reporther Thomas Fessy in Kinshasa.
