Things are quiet this morning in Mogadishu and this should come as something of a relief for the people there as it's been a difficult few days.

On Saturday, the speaker of Somalia's parliament urged neighbouring countries to send military help as the transitional government was struggling to fight off insurgents.

But Ethiopia - which had previously intervened - said it didn't want to send troops back in without an international mandate.

So where is this heading?

Akwasi Sarpong has been speaking to Somali analyst Mohamed Abdillahi who's based in Nairobi.

Does he think Kenya will send troops in?
