One of the highest ranking officials in the Rwandan government during the 1994 genocide will hear his fate in the case against him at the Arusha tribunal.

The former acting interior minister, Callixte Kalimanzira, is charged with three counts of genocide.

It will be only the second judgement this year for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda - or ICTR.

The court was supposed to complete its cases by the end of the year, but recently, once again, it's asked for more time.

The BBC's Jamhuri Mwavyombo reports from Arusha.
