Libya's leader, Muammar Gaddafi, is taking the final step in the rehabilitation of relations with the former colonial power - Italy.
Today, Colonel Gaddafi begins his first state visit there, in Rome.
At one time - as a Libyan newspaper has put it - he was more likely to visit Saturn, but that's all in the past.
