In what could be a major setback for the Nigerian aviation industry, reports say the Virgin brand name is about to be removed from the Nigerian flag carrier, Virgin Nigeria.

For the past 2 years, the airline has been in dispute with President Yar'adua's government over which airport terminal to use, and only in January announced that it was suspending long-haul loss-making flights to Britain and South Africa to concentrate on regional and domestic routes.
