There are growing concerns in Chad about the plight of child soldiers who were captured by the military earlier this month following heavy fighting in the east of the country.

The United Nations Children's Fund says it's trying to secure the release of the more than eighty children.

The issue has been brought to light through the British actor Ralph Fiennes, who has just concluded a visit to Chad as a Unicef goodwill ambassador.

Celeste Hicks, has been travelling with the Unicef team, and reports.
