Sudan's President faces a tough time during elections next year if a plan by opposition parties to join forces materialises.
Capitalising on the international arrest warrant hanging over President Omar el Bashir's head, the former rebel group - the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) has started meeting opposition parties to discuss an alliance to unseat the ruling party.
Already the opposition are demanding a dissolution of President Bashir's government for a broad based government that will prepare for free and fair elections.
The opposition parties have been meeting over the last couple of days at the invitation of the SPLM.
On the line to Khartoum, Akwasi Sarpong asked SPLM secretary general Pagan Amum what's been on the agenda.
