Hospitals are straining to cope with casualties from the latest fighting in Somalia.

Insurgent groups launched an offensive in the city three weeks ago against the transitional federal government.

According to human rights groups, more than 100 people have died and another 200 have been injured.

The International Committee of the Red Cross runs two of the major hospitals in the city.

Peter Ndoru spoke with Pedram Yazdi, Somalia spokesman for the ICRC, about the extent of the problem.
