The anti corruption war currently being waged by Cameroon's President, Paul Biya, has seen several government ministers and directors of state companies end up in jail.

Most of them were found guilty of siphoning off thousands of dollars from the state treasury.

Nevertheless, it appears that public opinion believes overwhelmingly that not much effort is being made to recover the stolen monies.

This has created an impression that the high profile inmates are still enjoying their wealth from behind bars, as VIP prisoners whilst other criminals have to brave the appalling conditions of state prisons.

Randy Joe Sa'ah has been findng out more; his report begins with a song by Lapiro de Mbanga, a frontline anti corruption crusader and critic of the present government who himself is in jail.
