How free have Malawi's radio stations and press been in coverage of the election campaigns?

There are a plethora of private radio stations which with the advent of multiparty democracy are now giving the state owned broadcasters a run for their money.

To find out more Chakuchanya Harawa spoke to Alladin Osman, managing director of the private FM station Capital Radio Malawi, Timothy Neale, Commonwealth Consultant with the Malawi Electoral Commission and Bright Malopa, the head of the state owned Malawi Broadcasting Corporation.
