Fierce fighting continues in Somalia between the Islamist group - al Shabaab - and government forces.

Dozens have been killed, hundreds wounded and thousands have fled. President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed - who took the post in January - is facing his stiffest test to date.

So how are things this morning? Akwasi Sarpong spoke to the BBC's Mohammad Olad Hassan in Mogadishu.
