Think of the illnesses that get most publicity and probably HIV is number one, with malaria not far behind - but a report out today says that we're in danger of ignoring one of the biggest killers of children: diarrhoea.

The development charity Water Aid is asking why global spending on HIV/Aids hugely outweighs the amount spent on providing better sanitation which is a simple way to stop the spread of diarrhoea.

So what's gone wrong? Akwasi Sarpong spoke to Nancy Mukumbuta, WaterAid Zambia's programme manager who is in Washington to launch the report.
