About fifty years ago an uneducated shepherd boy was tending his sheep in the fields, but he had a dream to one day better himself.

Learning to read was a start and he mastered that and went from strength to strength.

Today he's reached the very top and in a matter of hours Jacob Zuma will be sworn in as South Africa's fourth President since the end of apartheid.

It's a real rags to riches tale, but has had some dramatic twists and turns too.

To find out more Bola Mosuro spoke to Fred Khumalo who is writing an unauthorised biography of Jacob Zuma.

She started by asking him to describe what can be expected from today's inauguration.
