Following two days of fighting, horrific details are emerging about the heavy fighting between the Chadian military and rebels in the east of the country.

It's the biggest battle since rebels launched an offensive on the capital, last February in a bid to oust President Idriss Deby.

These latest clashes between government forces and those who oppose them occurred in the eastern village of AmDam.

So in the aftermath of the fighting yesterday our Chad correspondent Celeste Hicks visited Am Dam and gave details of what she saw.
