"Vulture Funds" are so-called because investors buy up the debts of developing countries at cut-rate prices and then sue those countries governments through the UK and other courts at huge profits.
Nigeria, the DR Congo, Zambia, Egypt, Sierra Leone, Kenya, and many others can testify to the disastrous effects that vulture funds can have.
A group of 12 British cross-party MP's are proposing legislation to ban this practice.
