Military in Madagascar have carried out a number of high profile arrests in the latest bid to silence protests against the current government.
Heavily armed soldiers entered a five star hotel in the capital to arrest Manandafy Rakotonirina, the man named as prime minister by the ousted president Marc Ravalomanana. From Antananarivo the BBC's Johnny Hogg reports on how these developments are affecting Madagascar's political landscape.
