Central African Republic

Its four months since a peace deal was signed between the Central African government headed by Francois Bozize and various rebel groups. And yet the country is facing renewed fighting in the troubled north eastern part of the country.

In early February over 20 civilians were reportedly killed by government troops in the Ndele region near the CAR's border with Chad, an area where a new rebel group recently emerged. Now there are reports that human rights abuses are being committed by both the national army and rebels. The BBC's Thomas Fessy has just returned from Ndele.
