The famous Blue Diamond has been on display at Southebys auction house here in London.

Like the famous Cullinan diamond, the precious stone comes from South Africa and will soon be sold in Switzerland where it is expected to fetch about £6 million.

Is this good news for those countries on the continent that are diamond producers?

Damian Zane spoke to diamond industry expert, Christine Gordon, he first asked what was so special about the diamond.
