Today is World Malaria Day and though the disease is a global scourge, 86 percent of all cases occur on the continent of Africa.

So what can be done to prevent an African child dying from the disease every 30 seconds?

One target of the UN Roll back malaria campaign is to deliver "effective and affordable protection and treatment to all people at risk" by the end of 2010.

It still begs the question though as to whether malaria will ever be eradicated totally.

Professor Awa Coll-Seck, Executive Director of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership and a Former Minister of Health in Senegal came to Bush House and Bola Mosuro asked her if it was realistic to believe they could achieve the goal of effective and affordable protection to all by next year?
