It usually starts about two weeks before Valentine's Day in a small village just outside Salisbury. Bundles of Valentines cards start to arrive for one special lady. Die hard romantics insist on coming in person to see her and give her their Valentines cards. A week before Valentines Day and the number of visitors has already started to gain momentum. Some arrive too late to see her and are forced to track her down at home. So what is it about this small Wiltshire village and this lady that attracts romantics everywhere, and why do they come back year after year?
The clue is in the village's name. It is called 'Lover' unfortunately pronounced 'louver' and it is the name that everyone is after. More specifically romantics are after the 'Lover' postmark stamped on their Valentines cards to loved ones. And who is the special lady? The lady is Ann Noble who runs the Lover Post Office.
