Work on the new Collingbourne Church of England Primary School starts at the end of February.

The new school, at Collingbourne Ducis, will provide four modern classrooms for 120 local children. An information technology suite will also feature as part of the new school.

A special arrangement has been made to use the village hall for P.E. and for providing lunches. A kitchen area will be provided to serve school lunches.

The old school, part of which was in three mobile classrooms, is on land owned by the parish council and leased by Wiltshire County Council.

The new school is being built on a site adjacent to the village hall and the old school site returned to the parish council.
