Following the success of the first event in May 2003, many former pupils have been asking if another event was planned. Others who could not attend the first reunion, were hoping another would be held, so they could also meet their former school friends. This years event will be a fun packed Party Night with the bar open from 6.30 midnight and a mega disco playing all your favourite tunes from the 60s and 70s. If you just prefer to meet and chat to your old school friends the quieter annex will be available. The Memorial Hall will also be open for afternoon tea from 1430hrs for all to drop in and meet former pupils whilst preparations are underway. The committee again plan to invite all former teachers to this years party the staff attendance was a highlight of last years event. Chairman David Sheppard said: "The interest in this years event has been very encouraging, and I think we will build on last year's tremendous success." Treasurer Carol Woolway (nee Curr) said: "Last years event was so hectic, with so many people attending, it was impossible to speak to everyone, and I hope to meet more of my old school friends this year." Publicity organiser Steve Richardson commented: "Last year was so special, and we were reunited with so many old friends how could we not all meet up again a party is a great excuse." If you were at school anytime between 1964 and 1969 come along to the Party Night and meet your old school friends, but all who attended Wootton Bassett School during the 60s and 70s and their partners will be welcome.
