Ocotal, a town of nearly 30,000 people, lies in the centre of the Nueva Segovia area of Nicaragua in Central America. SOL (Swindon Ocotal Link) is arranging a 12-day study trip, bringing together a group of 12 people from all across Swindon to visit Nicaragua. During the trip, the group will looking at all aspects of the country, from understanding the history, environmental work, mountain walks, bike rides, meeting communities and schools, along with spending time with Indian communities - and not forgetting some of world's most amazing beaches!
It really is up to you what you want to get out of the trip and the schedule will adapt to suit your needs. The trip is scheduled for 25th November until 9th December 2004 and the cost of the visit, including flights and accomodation is approximately £1100, which includes funding various projects happening in Ocotal.
