Be My Baby - be an extra!
Be My BabySalisbury Playhouse is in search of young women to appear as extras in its latest production Be My Baby. Set in the 1960s, the play follows the fortunes of four teenage girls who are sent to a home for unmarried mothers after becoming pregnant.

John Manning, Casting Co-ordinator at the Playhouse says "We are looking for around ten girls, all over 16, who could convincingly pass for late teens/early twenties to appear as girls in the home.

"They'll need to be available from June 10-26, with rehearsals on 8 and 9 June. Ideally, people will be available for most of these dates, including a couple of Saturday and midweek matinees, but if there are days they can't do, we can work round it.

Unfortunately, the Playhouse producers say they aren't able to pay, but the extras will get six free tickets for their family and friends.

John says: "It should be a very interesting and valuable experience for anyone interested in the theatre.

"You will get to work with professional actors and see what goes on behind the scenes in a professional theatre.

"For anyone interested in working in the theatre as a career, I think this will be a unique experience to see what goes on."

If you are interested in taking part or would like to find out more, please call John Manning, Casting Co-ordinator at the Playhouse on 01722 320117.
