Preparations for the event on July 16th & 17th are well underway and thousands of people from across North Wiltshire are expected to gather in Chippenhams Monkton Park for the unique two-day event. North Wiltshire District Council will be promoting the Dont let North Wiltshire go to waste theme with workshops, displays and demonstrations all with a green theme. The charity WaterAid, dedicated to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people, will also be involved through their association with one of the key sponsors, Wavin Plastics Limited.
Entertainment forms a major part of the Festival and a full programme of events will be taking place with the promise of something for all the family to enjoy. On the Saturday evening Bjorn Again will be saying thank-you for the music as they perform their 30th Anniversary tribute to pop legends ABBA. The site takes place on either side of the River Avon in Chippenham and will be made up of a Business Village, a Community Village and huge main stage.
There are expected to be plenty of activities for children and the entertainment will be non-stop throughout the weekend. Many local companies are supporting the event through sponsorship. Wavin, Hygrade, Whitehall Garden Centre, North Wiltshire Leisure, Westinghouse Rail Systems, Vivista, Judgeday Fireworks and Ashtenne have already confirmed their support for the event. Many more companies are using the event to showcase their products and services and raise their profile. |
