The images tell the story of how these important national events were celebrated locally between 1887 and 2001. The exhibition also features photographs of royal visits to Wiltshire. Images in the exhibition include a Wiltshire Times photograph from May 1935 showing crowds following a children's procession in Trowbridge during the silver jubilee of George V. Another - again taken from the Wiltshire Times - shows a tea party for the coronation of George VI in Studley Rise, Trowbridge during May 1937. A photo dating back to 1902 and 1911 show celebrations in Westbury for the coronation of Edward VII and for the coronation of George V. The George VI coronation procession passing through St Margaret's Street, Bradford-on-Avon in May 1937 is shown in another image from the collection. Paul Connell, museums officer at Wiltshire County Council, said: "The exhibition showcases some fascinating images revealing how people have celebrated royal events during the last three centuries. "All the photographs in the collection have been donated by members of the public and we hope that even more people will contribute to this valuable archive after seeing the exhibition.
